Our Common Ground (1st Shift)

Our Common Ground is the annual free family festival put on by Friends of Morningside Park and volunteers are essential in producing an event of this size. If you sign up, please show up and plan to be on site for the duration of your shift. This is a family event so comfort around children is required. MUST be at least 18yrs of age. First shift is responsible for setup and the beginning of the festival. You will meet promptly at our staging location: 14 Morningside Ave. There will be some heavy lifting transferring supplies across the street to the park. The more people we have, the easier it will be. Once setup, volunteers will be responsible for supervising activities, directing the public to various areas of interest, line management and tabling. This does not represent a comprehensive list of volunteer tasks. 

Event activities include puppet shows, music, dance classes, yoga, arts and crafts, magic show, giant board games and pony rides to name a few. 

Friends of Morningside volunteer t-shirt will be provided for all volunteers as well as lunch.
