Our Common Ground (2nd Shift)

Our Common Ground is the annual free family festival put on by Friends of Morningside Park and volunteers are essential in producing an event of this size. If you sign up, please show up and plan to be on site for the duration of your shift. This is a family event so comfort around children is required. MUST be at least 18yrs of age. Second shift is responsible for the continuation and cleanup of the festival. You will meet promptly at our information table inside of Morningside Park to get placement and handoff of activities from first shift. Volunteers will be responsible for supervising activities, directing the public to various areas of interest, line management and tabling. This does not represent a comprehensive list of volunteer tasks. Once the festival concludes, volunteers will break down the event and transfer supplies back across the street to the staging area at 14 Morningside Ave. There will be some heavy lifting transferring supplies across the street from the park. The more people we have, the easier it will be.

Event activities include puppet shows, music, dance classes, yoga, arts and crafts, magic show, giant board games and pony rides to name a few. 

Friends of Morningside volunteer t-shirt will be provided for all volunteers as well as lunch.
